WROC-TV Top Free 7 Anniversary (WROC-TV ROCHESTER)
From the WROC website, June 30, 2006 - "About 60 men and women appeared topless at Cobbs Hill Park Friday, to commemorate an event there 20 years ago which created quite a stir, and resulted in a court ruling that said barring women from going topless in public--but not men--was unconstitutional. Famed New York City photographer Jordan Matter was on hand to take a commemorative photo, to mark the 20th anniversary of Rochester's Top Free 7, who were arrested for going topless in the park in 1986. 'Today women can be topfree and not be judged. This is something that we're slowly moving toward in our society, and it represents the much larger issue of women's equality,' says Matter. Only one member of the original Top Free 7 participated in Friday's event."
